The Story Behind
Inspired by Art Nouveau style.
Api Turquoise twill silk scarf is created by combining forms of mosaic shapes, ornamentation, and repetition of unique Serval Atelier patterns. Special attention is paid to the bee element, which appears in the form of a stylized representation of one of the noblest creatures, a universal symbol of ethical virtues, such as diligence, sociability, cleanliness, purity, wisdom, and creativity.
Inspired by Art Nouveau
Design of Design Momentum Api Turquoise scarf is inspired by the style of Art Nouveau (“New Art”), featuring Asymmetrical shapes and Mosaics-like shapes. The impetus behind Art Nouveau’s design was to break with exploring newer, freer forms of visual expression. Combining these forms with unique color combinations characteristic of this style, the Design Momentum line of scarves exudes uniqueness and elegance.
Made by Artisans of Como, Italy
The scarf is made by the artisans of the silk in the famous Como valley, ITALY combining a long tradition of elegance and charm and required technique, precision, and manual skill, but also a great passion. It all started in the year 1400 when Ludovico Sforza, Duke of Milan, had a brilliant idea: planting mulberry trees around Lake Como, to the delight of local greedy silkworms. That was the moment when Lake Como’s silk manufacturing started to arise and to write a history of the best silk products.
